Jenny Jones has a secret. She holds the picture of her sainted mother in her hands and talks to it. Jenny predicts that she is in for a whole lot of trouble, but her secret will remain a secret. Lord, what this girl will go through in this movie shouldn't happen to a dog, but Jenny Jones is in for one of the rockiest roller coaster rides through life that you've ever seen. I am amazed at the depths of deceit that a wealthy and powerful man will do to ruin the life of a young lady.

It is 1933, and the world is in the midst of a Great Depression, but there are still wealthy people around town, and our story involves young Jenny Jones and the wealthy man who wants to get rid of her, wants to manipulate her, and wants to destroy her.

Dick Hamilton wants to Marry Jenny more than anything in this world. Jenny works in the office of the lawyer who handles Dick’s inheritance. Dick will come into a large fortune in a year or so, but only if he doesn’t marry Jenny. The scoundrel lawyer who handles Dick’s money will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to keep them apart. Jenny will keep the secret that she has until the day she is in court and about to be sent to the electric chair for murder.
