TRAPPED - 1931 - KENNE DUNCAN - RARE DVD
$ 6.00
This action crime adventure was filmed before the censoring Hays Office began making the death scenes gentler, so there is more gunfire and death on screen that in most of the gangster movies of the next decades. 1931 automobiles also steal more film time than in most old movies, almost to the point where the cars are the stars. The adventure opens with a 1931 auto chase scene that is reminiscent of the cowboy movies that would follow. In many cowboy movies there is a scene where the lady is on a runaway horse, or in a runaway buggy or stage coach, and the leading man gallops bravely after the frightened lady and saves her from disaster. In the opening scene, our leading man is racing his 1931 convertible through the winding hillside when he spots another convertible ahead, and he notices that the chauffeur is attacking the lady passenger, so he speeds up until the cars are beside each other and jumps from his car into the other car and saves the young lady. . . . .
