This August 11, 1966, WBKB-TV (ABC) telecast features recordings of Ravinia performances by jazz icons Nancy Wilson and the Ramsey Lewis Trio, folk group The Back Porch Majority, soprano Roberta Peters with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and conductor Josef Krips, and Seiji Ozawa—then Ravinia’s Music Director—leading the CSO. Norman Ross, the three-time Olympic gold medalist turned TV and radio personality, hosted the broadcast.
