Rudolph Valentino plays a young French prince, celebrated for his skills on the stage and his many romances. When he offends the Kings by refusing a command to marry the willful Princess Henrietta he decides to flee to England rather then submit. He retreats to Bath and with the help of his friend the Ambassador hides in plain sight by pretending to his barber, Monsieur Beacaire. However when he becomes smitten with Lady Mary Carlisle, the Belle of Bath he forgets caution and sets out to meet her.
