John Hawks is a hard working college student and football star from out West who meets the beautiful Easterner heiress Alison Corning at a party. Unfortunately Alison likes her men ambitious, successful and rich and is put off by Hawks’ humble origins. To impress her, Hawks takes a job with her father Stephen Corning on Wall Street but unwilling to sacrifice his honor and character to make the greedy company money at the expense of others he quits.
