HORROR HALL OF FAME - 1974

What a treat! Although done tongue-in-cheek and hurt by some woeful comic relief in the form of Vincent Price's hunchbacked assistant, this is a really fun tv special with some good clips and interview segments. Frank Gorshin does a great Boris Karloff impression, Price and John Astin discuss and show off some of the horror products available at the time (including a copy of Famous Monsters of Filmland; I noticed Forry is listed in the credits as a "creative consultant"), Price and John Carradine take a look at some classic silents, among other neat stuff. Interestingly, although the Universal classics are talked about, there aren't any clips used in the show. I wonder if Universal wouldn't give permission back then? All in all, a lot of fun!
