Lured by the fickle goddess, Fame, many applicants try for the Prima Donna role in Vergugo's Opera Company which is soon to go on tour. One such gifted applicant is Julia Montfort who impresses Vergugo and the manager Sam Hermann with her beautiful singing. They want her to join immediately but Julie already happy in her life and lucky in love is reluctant to travel with the Opera but when her best pal and husband Frank Travers loses his job she accepts.
